DUKE OF WINDSOR WILL YET VISIT D.S.
AFTER CHRISTMAS.
Housing Inquiries Not to Be Resumed. HONOLULU TRIP LATER. tlnited Press Association.—Copyright. (Received 12 noon.) PARIS, November 9. It is understood that the Duke Duchess of Windsor are planning to go to the United States for a few weeks' tour immediately after Christmas, and that they will then go to Honolulu. It is emphasised, however, that the Duke does not intend to resume his industrial and housing investigations during the tour. American advisers are understood to have suggested that, in view of the changed public attitude since the housing tour was postponed, there is now no reason why the Duke should not visit the United States immediately. It is likely that he and the Duchess will cross the Atlantic in a French ship instead of the German liner Bremen, as planned.
RUMOUR IS WRONG.

Sensational stories are appearing in a section of the Press to the effect that the Kin;; had a lengthy telephone conversation with t lie Duke of Windsor over the week-end regarding the Duke's immediate future. These rumours are ofliciallv denied, but it is reliably stated that there is no question of the Duke's return to England for at least two or three years. It is also denied that the Duke, in cancelling hit* L'nited States tour, acted under pressure from London.
