BEEF AND VEAL AFFECTED.
INCREASE IN YARDING. The continue.! dry spell has caused farmers to >*'11 fat stock, fearing a shortage of feed. and the offerings of both beef and veal oil the West field fat stock market to-day were larger than for nome time. All classes of cattle except prime liirht weights -sold *at slightly lower values and there was :i reduction in calf prices. A good offering of prime steels included some well-finished cattle flOlll tile estate of the late Mr. W. .1. Ralph. Maliuta. which brought up to £17. tho highest price of the sale.
