PLEASING RESULTS OF A POPULAR COMPETITION.
NEAT WORK A PROMINENT FEATURE. Exceptionally heavy entries testified to the popularity of a letter picture competition, as well as providing the judge with a pleasurable surprise. One noteworthy feature of the contest was the neat appearance of many lists, some competitors adding an extra touch of attractiveness in artistically drawn headings. Although not a prizewinner, one reader is to be especially commended on her setting out, the entire list being written in Old English lettering. n le usual crop of mistakes accompanied this competition, foremost among them being our old friend, the entry without the total number of objects found. many warnings, this error crops up repeatedly, and is the explanation why many readers do not see their names in the) pri/ewinning list. Gunvor Pare-Jones is the competitor who found the highest total of objects beginning with L. Gunvor's list totalled 52. Helen Rankin and P. Sinclair were next on the list with a total of 50.
