RAILWAY CHANGES.

BUSINESS AGENT TRANSFER. PROMOTION OF OFFICERS. Owing to a number of promotions in the railway service some recent transfers have been cancelled. Mr. G. S. Reid, head of the train running department at Auckland, has been promoted a grade and remains in his present position. Mr. G. T. Lawson, business agent at Auckland, has been appointed on promotion to be stationmaater at Napier, and le'aves on Sunday evening lor his new appointment. In consequence of Mr. Lawson's promotion, Mr. Roy Riesop, of the Auckland commercial office, who was promoted to be business agent in Wellington, is to remain in Auckland in Mr. Lawson's position. Mr. Riesop travelled with the Springboks throughout the Dominion, (and before the visitors sailed on their .return to South Africa the team made a ' presentation to him. Mr. Riesop will | have associated with him at Auckland Messrs. K. Wallace and R. Beddek.
