FRENCH FASCIST'S PENALTY
(Received 1.30 pjm.) PARIS, November 8. Colonel de la Rocque, leader of the French Social party, formerly the Fascist organisation, Croix de Feu, was fined 200 francs and ordered to pay the plaintiff 3000 francs damages as a sequel to a slander action brought against him by a former Fiery Cross lieutenant, the Duke Pozzo di Borgo. 1 The slander dealt with the veracity of the Duke's assertion, supported in Court by the Prime Minister concerned, M Tardieu. that de la Kix-'tr.c bad been financed from official secret fuiide.
