PUPS AID SALES
NOVEL U.S. METHODS. Many aide to oar salesmanship have been tried, but one of the most novel was recently adopted in Buffalo, United States. Pedigree Scottish terriers, cocker spaniel*?, wire-haired terriers and other breeds were enlisted for a special sales effort, and a pup was given away with every car. In seven wecke 400 new and used cars were sold, .dourlt the volume of the eame period in tbr previous year. The show wa« advertised as a free puppy circus. At first it was attended by children only, but they went home and took their parents bnck. Then the sales began. Apparently none of the buyers complained that they had been "sold a pup." The show would probably have continued longer, had not the breeder*, raised the price of the doge.
