GLENDOWIE CLUB.

ENJOYABLE FUNCTION.

The Catholic League rooms were gaily decorated on Saturday night when the Glendowie Golf Club members gave an enjoyable dance. From a deep border fringe of navy blue, gold and red (the club's colours) a large canopy of the same colourings enclosed the ceiling. Round the hall and lounge were placed bowls of spring and summer flowers, 'while huge jars, of arum lilies, placed in the corners, added to the pleasing floral effect. The guests were received by the president, Mr. F. Restall, and Mrs. Restall, the latter wearing a dainty frock of dusty pink spider-web lace and small coatee. The committee who helped to make the function a success were: Mrs. J. McKelvie, in a gown of camellia pink lace; Mrs. S. Keys wore black crepe suede; Mrs. J. L. Campbell, vieux rose flowered ninon; Mrs. M. G. McArthur, black georgette embroidered in Burgundy sequins; Miss Ncra Howe, white and Wallis blue floral taffeta, outlined in silver; Miss Etty Gregson, black taffeta skirt, white sharkskin coat emboidered in black flowers, and white chiffon roses; Miss, Barbara Steven, cornflower blue organza and spray of field flowers; Miss Peggy Hume, opal blue starched lace; and Messrs. R. Allen, H. Aitken, Ivor O'Neill, Stan Keys, R. J. Graham, D'Authreau, F. McCarthy. Among those present were: Mrs. Victor Macky, Mrs. Peterson, Mrs. B. Bree, Mrs. C. S. Renshaw, Mrs. C. J. Lenihan, Mrs. V. Amber, Mrs. L. Marquet, Mrs. J. Tressider, Mrs. Jeoffrey Webb, Mrs. Robert Graham, Mrs. J. McKenzie Wilson, Mrs. G. T. Simpson, Mrs. Lyn Restall, Mrs. Morrison, Mrs. Hex Boves, Mrs. J. Ray, Mrs. Trevor McCarthy, Mrs. T. D'Authreau, Mrs. Jack Brook. Mrs. F. A.
