BIRTHDAY PARTY.

One of the most enjoyable birthday parties given this year was held in a section of George Court and Sons' tearooms on Saturday, when Mrs. Charles Stormont entertained a number of friend* in honour of her daughter June. Mrs. Stormont received her guests in a flowered ninon swagger cream coat and cream Breton sailor hat. The guest of honour wore a pale grey frock, coat and hat, with geranium red accessories.

Beautiful blue and gold blooms were attractively arranged on the tea tables, and a novel birthday cake in the form of a cottage and surrounding garden graced the centre. Many dainty presents were received by Miss Stormont.

An enjoyable programme, comprising a piano solo by Miss Heather Brownlee, songs by Miss Aldwyth Dunn, recitations by Miss Jacqueline Heath-Preest, a violin solo by Miss Audrey Brownlee. and a brief account of her tour abroad by Mrs. Hugh Kasper, was arranged.
