PADDLING TO RHODESIA.—IVith their 18-foot Canadian canoe packed villi stores and their dog perched in the bolt>s, Alec Brindley (in stern) and Victor Wills, his cousin, of Guildford, Surrep, paddling down the River IVey as they left Guildford for Rhodesia. Thar route is via the Thames to Dover, across to Calais, and ihence to Gibraltar, from where they will go through the Mediterranean and the Suez Canal to East Africa.
