MORE SALES RECORDED. FARMERS' AUCTIONEERING FIRM. Business on Change livened up since last report, ami heavy turnover was recorded at yesterdays atteriioon call. This morning sales were less numerous, though well up to the average. Bidding at the call was steady. Farmers' Auctioneering were again in demand lov all issues, and the ordinary shares sold 1 ' higher, at £4 12. (5. with a later market between £4 10 and £4 15/. Banking shaves were very quiet, and insurances showed no change. Woolwoitlis (X.Z.I had their first sale since last month, changing hands at £5 2', a rise of !>/. Consolidated Bricks were easier, and a parcel changed hands Sd down, at. S 4. Tatipo Total a dropped 9d, with a sale at 7/. In Australian issues Glass shaies were firmer, with a market between £4 15 15 and £4 16 3. New Zealand Newspapers were firmer, and a buyer at £1 had no response from holders. Mount Lyells eased further, with a market between £2 3 6 and £2 4/.

Quiet at Noon. There was no improvement as the morning proceeded, and only three sales were recorded at the noon call. In fresh bidding sellers came in for National Insurances at 18/6 and for Xew Zealands at £3 46. Buyers for Australian Glass dropped back to £4 15/3, and for Broken Hills to £4 3 6. Electrolytic Zincs were also lower. In miscellaneous issues Shillings were closer to business with a market between 18/11 £1. Holders of Government stocks, '52-'ss's, raised their limits to £105 10/.
