FOURTH ANNUAL BALL.
ST. JOHN AMBULANCE. OTAHUHU BRIGADE'S FUNCTION. Black and white streamers and festoons of gaily-coloured bunting, with the St. John insignia suspended from the centre of the hall ceiling, made a most effective setting for the fourth annual ball of the Otahuhu division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade held in the Otahuhu Public Hall. There was an exceptionally big attendance of members and friends, and the officers in their neat uniforms, combined with the many beautiful frocks of the ladies, presented a very colourful scene 011 the dance floor. Ambulance Officer H. K. Handisides welcomed the guests, and the committee associated with him comprised Superintendent T. Ambrose, Sergeant Hippleston, Corporals Morman and Gratten, Corporal Superintendent Westbrooke and Private R. Westbrooke. The masters of ceremonies were Ambulance Officer H. K. Handisides and Sergeant C. Kobson, and members, of the brigade controlled the supper arrangements. Among those present were: Mesdames T. Ambrose, H. K. Handisides, G. Hipples.ton, E. S. Morman, F. E. Westbrooke, Carl Rotbson, H. T. Clements, W. Crow, sen., G. McPlierson, H. W. Fowler, K. Lovich, Parker (Ngaruawahia), C. Lamb, K. Everitt, E. Cotterall, S. N. Hill, E. Movie, L. Vitalli E. V. Belliss, B. Keid, A. Edwards, G. F. Edmonds, H. C. Pettit, Banks, T. Salter, T. Crow; Misses E. B. Petrie, C. V. Petrie, Doreen Box, Edith and Margaret Westbrooke, Gladys Potter, Joyce McEwan, O. Ogilvie, Kathleen Stipich, Lily Bran, D. Sheehan (Palmerston North), Rita McConoeliie, Barbara Pirie, Shirley Macmillan, N. Cochrane, M. Pilclier, M. Morton, Dulcie Mullins, Jessie Harvie, G. Wilkinson, F. Wilkinson, P. Lipscombe, Iris Moore, J. Peterson, Jetiefer Martin.
