FARMER KILLED. GAR FALLS IN STREAM. - (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON N., Tuesday. A Bunnytliorpe . -farmer, Mr. John Thomas, met his death-under, tragic circumstances early this evening, when the car he wais driving crashed through the /tO-,t}»e bridge across the Mang&one Stream* ■on the Milson line, near Palmeraton North, and somersaulted into the stream 25ft below. Mr. Thomas .was travelling to Palmeraton North, -kt; the time. The bridge - is--W one-way structure, with heavy planks extending fanwise from the end to form an approach. The road is perfectly straight for a long distance 'on each side of the bridge.. The dead man is. survived by a widow, three sons and four daughters.
