STOLEN FROM CHURCH.
JEWELS ur WOODEN LEG. BELGRADE. • Jewellery to the value of some hundreds of pounds was found by the Ljubljana police concealed in the wooden leg of a poorly dressed man, whose lavish expenditure attracted their attention. Some of the jewels have been identified as belonging to the Church of the Blessed Virgin at Split. This sacrilegious robbery has caused great indigna;ion among the Slovenians, who are all rtom&n Catholics.
