PEDESTRIAN'S DEATH. ~~~ f—m KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR CYCLE. A verdict that Mrs. Louisa Hannah Felton, aged 71 years, whose death occurred in the Auckland Hospital : on August 0, died from injuries suffered when she was knocked down in ■•Great North Road on July 31 by a motor cycle 1 idden by Colin W. Hooton, was returned' by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, .this morning. I ;• A man who was riding a pusb bicycte in the vicinity at the time of the acbi-. dent stated that he heard the crash but T aid not see the actual v collision. . The motor cyclist } wa« going a speed at the time. ~ : Hooton said he was lidinsr'at kbout 20 miles per hour, and that Mre. Felton suddenly appeared from behind a parked, motor car. She waus then about six yards in front of .him, and he could not avoid the collision. The coroner remarked that it appeared to be a case in which there had been pome negligence ou the part of the .pedestrian. ~ " ' 7'.
