MOTOR CYCLE SKIDS.

YOUNG MAN IN HOSPITAL COMPANION ESCAPES LIGHTLY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) THAMES, this day. Thrown from his motor cycle when it skidded in loose metal and hit a bank at the bend in the Coast Road last evening, Mr. Jack Gordon, aged 23, was rendered unconscious. He was taken to hospital suffering from head and facial injuries.

A pillion rider was badly dazed but was able to return to the Public Works' camp at Woods Bay, where he is employed.
