TEMPERANCE UNION.
Auckland Executive.—The monthly meeting of the Auckland district executive oi the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the temperance room, Unity Hall, Queen" Street, yesterday afternoon. The president, Miss Read, presided and welcomed Miss Appleby, the newly-elected organiser for the W.C.T.U., who is visiting Auckland, after four months' organising work in the South Island.
Grey Lynn.—This branch of the union met last night at the residence of Mrs. N. Neal, Fiaherton Street. With a good attendance of members, Mrs. Tasker Brown, the president, opened the meeting, and all business for the coming season was discussed. A talk was given by Miss Armitt.
Remuera. —The Remuera branch of the W.C.T.U. met in the church parlour of the Methodist Church, Vincent Avenue. Mrs. Ansel presided. Mise Webber, a retired native school teacher, gave an address.on her experiences amongst the Maoris.
