CANARY SHOW.

COLOURFUL DISPLAY. Over two humlrcd birds were exhibited to-day when the thirteenth annual show of the Yorkshire Canary Club of Xew Zealand was opened in the Unity Hall. Queen Street. Uinta ranging in colour from pale lemon to deep orange made a colourful display against the blue background of their stands. All shades of grey and white were also exhibited. The judges, Messrs. T. (_». Knight (open clashes) and T. \V. Broen (unflighted classes) were particularly impressed with the quality of the entries. It wa« considered that as a whole birds showed pood length and excellent quality of feather. The champion bird in the open class and winner of the Speight Cup was Mr. T. Parkers entry.
