WRESTLING
BLOMFIELD V. COX. Two men who are noted for their ability to give and take heavy punishment will meet in this bout which is to be staged at the Town Hall on Monday night by the Auckland Wrestling Association. They are "Lofty" Blomfield, the New Zealand champion, and "King Kong" Cox, Loa Angeles. Since Cox opened his tour in this city and beat' John Spellman. wrestling enthusiasts throughout the country, and particularly in Auckland, have anxiously been waiting the night
when he will come up against Blomfield. Both men rank highly among the Dominion Union's wrestlers. Cox, who has had some experience as a boxer, has a reputation throughout America as a man who excels at the use of the elbow jolt and other punishing measures, while his strength and ruggedness enable him frequently to wear down the opposition while he continues to work strongly. These tactics have enabled Cox to meet with considerable success both overseas and during the time he has been in Xew Zealand, but if they comprise his complete stock-in-trade he may find himself up against as much as he can handle when he meets Blomfield, for the latter has advanced himself very largely by the same means.
