'BttLSBORC. The HilisborO* Croquet Club held a successful card afternoon in the Farmers' Trading Company. Prizewinners were: —Bridge, Mesdames Kirkwood and Lucena; 500, Meedanies Whillans and Stringer. MOUNT ALBERT. The annua| ; ,iruee|;wig oi the. Mount Albert Croquet Club was held in the pavilion, when the president, Mrs. Forsyth, presided over a large gathering of members and presented the prizes for the club competitions played during the season. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patrons, Messrs. Anderson (Mayor of Mount Albert), J. Garlick, T. B. Clay, D.Henry, J. C. Entricap and Dr. Patterson; president, Mrs. Forsyth; vice-presidents, Mesdames F. J. Smith and G. Clark; secretary, Mrs. Robertson; treasurer, Mrs. Angus; committee, Mesdames T. Maxwell, McKay, W. Sharp, B. Annett, Windsor, Hawke, C. C. Turnbull; match committee, Mesdames McKay, Bennett, Hawke, Forsyth and Robertson; delegates to association, Mesdames Forsyth and Robertson j hon. auditor, Mr. T. Garlick. PONSONBY. Another successful card afternoon was h< ld by the Ponsonby Croquet Club in the Ponsoiby bowling pavilion on Thurs(lav. Winners were: Bridge. Mrs. Crowe; hidden number, Mrs. Edgar; con-iolation, Mrs. Rowbottom. The cake was won by Mrs. Key. The following were present: Mesdames Coliar, Kennett, Douglas.
