FELLOWSHIP.
AIM OF OVERSEAS LEAGUE. "The Overseas League has only one aim, nnd that is to form a fellowship of all Engliiih-speaking people," said Mrs. E. Newlaml Fletcher in an address to the Auckland branch of the Overseas league yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Xewland Fletcher, who is a voluntary hostess at the league in London, gave an interesting talk on the activities of the league throughout the world. She congratulated the Auckland branch on the splendid progress they had made, stating that after South-east Africa New Zealand wa<> one of the first countries to start branches. Mrs. Newland Fletcher discussed the work that was being done in England at the present moment to help the boys from the mining countries and slums. About 1500 boys had been established on farms in Canada and Australia, and in 1032 the league absorbed the Fellowship of the British Empire Exhibition, taking on its work which included the encouragement of British trade. The facilities provided for Dominion tourists by the London branch of the league were described by Mrs. Newland Fletcher, who encouraged the New Zealand branches to do likewise. "I have never seen so much beauty in so small a place." she said, and continued to say that tourists should be encouraged to visit this country. Mrs. F. Bauer, who presided at the meeting, presented the speaker with a bouquet of laclienalia and thanked her for the interesting talk.
