MARTHA COMPANY. t _____ OPERATIONS AT MINE. 'By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WAIHI, this day. The following information has been cabled to London :— No. 2 Level.—North branch of Martha lode in Brown north-west crosscut: Have driven to west a further 33ft. Assay value, 10/3 per ton, and width of lode about 2ft. We are now crosscutting south from the 200 ft point. .No. 3 Level.—Driving south on the cast section of Edward lode: The next 20ft is ore of good grade about 2Jft wide. No. 6 Level. —North branch of Martha lode west of Uidden's north crosscut: Have driven a further 23ft in ore of good grade about 2ft wide. North branch of Martha lode, west of Espir crosscut : Have driven a further 34ft in ore assaying 23/6 per ton. The lode is about 2ift wide. GOLDEN CROWN. The manager of Golden Crown Gold Mines Company. Mr. A. A. Adams, who has just returned from the mine, reports the cutting of payable ore in No. 2 reef, new No. 2 level, at a point 340 ft south of the main shaft. This development is in virgin i ground and the block is intact from low level to the surface. Mr. Adams looks upon this development as distinctly encouraging. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Talisman Dubbo.—Forty-four tone of ore were treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £ 321.
