WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVWCE. * The Government Meteorologist i««uad to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate to strong touth-eastet-ly winds. Weather cloudv to overcsst and cold, with scatter d rains. Seas rough on the east coast and a considerable southerly swell on the west coast. The northern cyclone has moved further eastward*, but otherwise there is little change in the meteorological situation. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate to strong south-easterlies. Weather cloudy to overcast; scattered rain probable. Barometer little movement. Seas rough. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-east, fresh; sea, moderate; weather, cloudy and dull; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
