G. McMillan, chairman of the committee of inquiry into maternity services., in an interview I to-day. Member* of the committee returned to Cliristchurch last evening after taking evidence and inspecting hospitii'f nil the West Coast. ])r. McMillan said it might be three mouths before the committee would bo in a position to present its main report to tlie Minister of Health, as there was still a larger area of the Dominion to be \isited. but in order that urgent cases could receive immediate attention it was considering issuing an interim report.
