WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate westerly winds, freshening at times. Weather mainly fair, but occasional scattered rain is likely. Seas slight to moderate. One of a series of westerly depressions is now crossing the South Island. FOR THE DOMINION. For 24 hours from 8 a.m. this day:— The indications are for moderate westerlies, freshening at times. Mainly there is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, but occasional scattered rain probable. Barometer unsteady. Seas smooth to moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather condition* in the Hauraki Oulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, west, light; sea, smooth; weather, fine, but hazy, with a few rcattered clouds and bright sunshine: visibility, fair; barometer, rising.
