RACE TO COROMANDEL.

POPULAR YACHTING FIXTURE.

Entries are coming in freely for the two yacht races to Coromandel, which start off the King's wharf at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday. The events are promoted by the Coromandel regatta and sports committee and a {rood programme has been arranged for Saturday and Monday at the Coromandel Domain. The events include an athletic programme arranged by the Thames Amateur Athletic Club, woodchopping contests, horse events and steer riding.

Entries for the yacht races close at 5 p.m. to-morrow at Messrs. John Burns I and Company. The handicaps will be declared by the official starter and handicapper, Mr. Wilkinson, and will JPP*"* in Thursday's issue. The Mavor, Mr. Ernest Davis, has again donated two special prizes for the first boat to finish in each class.
