AN ANIMATED CARTOON.

After three years of laborious and painstaking work. 6400 drawings by an Aucklander are to Ins turned into an animated colour cartoon in Auckland on the lines of those produced bv the famous Walt Disney. "Raspberry Revolts" is the title of the film. The story was written and the pictures drawn bv Mr. R. F. Wav. of Auckland. The director of colour" was Mr. Gerald -Tones, and Mr. Farnoll was responsible for the colour process. When completed the film will be 800 feet long, and will take nine minutes to run through. The stars of the film are Raspberry, a cow. and two comical farmers, Skinny and Rawbones. The farmers are a grouching pair, who spend a good deal of their time bemoaning the fact that they cannot squeeze enough butterfat ont of their cows. Eventually the cows, headed by the ludicrous figure of Raspberry, revolt. They chase Skinnv and Rawbones across country in the approved cartoon fashion. The climax comes when Rawbones is pitched forciblv and unceremoniously into a tree. The film will be produced to the tune of old and popular melodies. The sound track ha* already been made and parts photographed. It is stated that the film will cost about £1.100 when completed.
