APPEAL FAILS.

SUSPENSION OF J. W. DOOLEY. DtTNEDIN, Monday. The appeal of the jockey J. W. Dooley against .huj suspension by the Cromwell Racing Club was dismissed by the Dunedin Pwtrict Committee to-day, and his deposit forfeited. Arising out of a protest against Last ljink, who was first past the post in the Queensbury Handicap on the first dav March 12, of the Cromwell Jockey Club's meeting, the judicial committee awarded the race to the second horse. Silver Sail and placed Last Link second. Dooley! rider of Last Link, was, suspended for two months for interference.
