( ONE-DAY GAMES, i The cricket public will appreciate the fact that one-day matches will be staged by the Auckland Cricket Association tomorrow afternoon, with a result that the rate of scoring is likely to be much faster than is usually the case. The leaders in the competition, North Shore, will appear at Eden Park, and will play Y.M.C.A., a team which has been showing remarkable batting form in its past few matches. This match will have pride of place on the No. 1 wicket. The other senior fixtures at Eden Park will be the matches between Parnell and ITniversity and King's College Old Boys against Eden. With only one more series to be played. K.V.. which leads the competition, appears certain to win the honours. R.V. compiled 233 for nine wickets, and has set Given Lane a difficult task. However, Green Lane may cause a surprise. Brixton made 228 in its first innings against Roskill. The game between Manukau, 159, and Ponsonby. two wickets for 23 rtins, should provide a good contest. The senior B section and junior grades will also he continued.
