NEW U.S. CONSULS.
AUCKLAND, WELLINGTON.
ARRIVAL BY MONTEREY,
With the arrival of the Monterey from Angeles this morning came two new I nited States consuls, one for Auckland and one for Wellington. Mr. J O. Groeninger "will take the place of Mr. Walter F. Bovlc. former American consul at Auckland. Mr groeninger. who is not married, was tormerly American consul H t Karichi. India, where he spent four years. His nrst orders were to coma direct to Auckland, lmt those were cancelled and he has spent some time in America. He was due to arrive at Auckland on Christmas Day. lmt like many others he was held up l.y the Pacific Coast shipping strike. He regretted very much that he did not arrive in time to see Mr. Boyle. Mr. Glion Curtis, jun., is to take un the post of vice-consul at, Wellington. Apart from almut nine month? in Bndi pest, this will be Mr. Curtis' fir.'t foreign service. He was accompanied by his wilo.
