FLOWER SHOW.
PARISH WOMEN'S FUNCTION,
The annual flower show in connection with the PapaKura Parish Women's Association was held yesterday afternoon in the Parish Hall. There was a large attendance, and the association funds benelited to the extent of £15. Stallholders were: Cobweb, Mesdames A. Donald and Baulf; jumble, Mrs. Paul; sweets, Mrs. L. Kernot and Misses Joyce and M. Walters.
First prize-winners were: Champion dahlia, Mrs. McGee; large dahlia, Mrs. A. Willis; medium decorative, Mrs. A. Willis; cactus, Mrs. D. Kemp; pompoms, Mrs. A. Willis; six asters. Mrs. Sloan; hydrangeas, Mrs. A. Willis; French marigolds, Mrs. A. Willis; African marigolds. Mrs. J. G. Walker; cannas, Mrs. R. J. Willis; zinnias, Mrs. R. J. Willis; .phlox Drummoniii, Mrs. J. Richardson; vase ot sweet peas, Mrs. Knibb; vase of roses, Mrs. Gunthorp; single dahlias, Mrs. Gunthorp; bowl of marigolds, Mrs. Sloane; sheaf of flowers, Miss N. Wilson; Victorian posy, Mrs. Baulf; model landscape, Miss F. Kernot; model garden, Mrs. M. A. Costar; collection of flowers, Mrs. R. Willis; flowerinjr gum, Mrs. Bates.
Section I): Four plain scones, Mrs. Walters; six pikelets, Mrs. Baulf; six pieces of shortbread. Miss H. Clark: six jam tarts, Mrs. T. Sexton; Madeira cake, Mrs. Costar; sponge sandwich, Miss F. Kernot; home-made bread, Mrs. Mason.
