TAKANINI TRIALS.

PARQUET SPRINTS WELL. FLOOD TIDE IN GOOD FORM. The going was excellent on the inside graee at Takanini this morning, and several faet times were recorded, despite the fact that there was a strong northerly wind against the houses over the final two furlongs. Valamito defeated Nun Nicer by three lengths at the conclusion of six furlongs in 1.14 4-5, after running the first two in 23 3-Sb. Valamito has come to hand quickly. Flood Tide completed seven furlongs nicely in 130, after covering the initial half-mile in 50 1-fie. He is expected to race wefl in tike Herriee Memorial Cup on Saturday. Thurwind and Ebb and Flow showed plenty of dash foe maidens by completing six furlonge in 1.15, the first two in ■Wβ. Thuuwind was a couple of lengths to the good at the finish. Anion was going comfortably alongside Mia Acrea at the end of half a mile in 525, while Gai Wind got to the end of five furlonge in 1.8. Parquet was responsible for an excellent gallop over six furlongs, traversing the distance in 1.14 3r5, after running the first three in 3flb. She wae accompanied oirer the first half-mile by Spearoourt, who a little later was brought out again, and sprinted half a mile with Inquisitor in 50 3-oe.
