BA&RXMO BAEB. NEW YORK, February 24. Brigadier-General Critchley, the London boxing promoter, has announced that he intends to appear at a meeting of the State Athletic Commission with a request for a ruling in his dispute with Max Baer, regarding a contract to fight in London next May against the winner of the FoordFarr bout. He contends that the contract forbids Baer to engage in any prior bout, but Baer is matched to fight Paetor at Madison Square Garden on March 19. THE GILDO-RAYNER BOUT. In Clarrie Rayner, foremost contender for the New Zealand lightweight title. Young Gildo meets one whoee ring performances rate him well above the average fighter. Hie vicious battles with the Australian feather-weight champion Joe Hall, whom Rayner knocked out in one of the most sensational contests seen for years in Blenheim, together with hk meritorious victory over the rugged Al Stock, rank him ae the logical opponent for the brilliant Gildo. In the pink of fighting condition, loung Gildo ie again confident of victory, though this w a matter that the many followers of the hard-hitting Rayner dispute. Both boy* will be eeen in exhibi tiorus, Clarrie Rayner at the Otahuhu Public Hall at 9 p.m. on Friday, and Young Gildo to-night at the Auckland Gymnasium.
