LIKE "STATELY SPANISH CALLEONS."—Known locally as The Galleons, these rocks are to be seen on the beach at Tongaporutu, a popular camping , and picnic resort on the West Coast between Awak'mo and Waitara. Although the beach is on the main road between New Plymouth and Auckland, this quaint rock formation is not very often noticed by passing motorists.
