INSPECTOR INJURED.

TRAIN STRIKES JIGGER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUXEDIN, this day. M. Thomas Harkness, aged 53, of Orari, an inspector of the permanent way, who had been relieving in Central Otago, sustained a compound fracture of the leg and other lacerated injuries when a goods train struck his jigger near the Hyde station yesterday. He was brought to Dunedin Hospital.
