STRUCK BY TRUCK.

Severe head injuries and concussion were suffered by an elderly woman, Mrs. Violet Roulton, of 3, Kiordan's Lane, off Nelson Street, City, when she was strode by a motor truck on the corner of'Hobeon Street and Victoria Street West, shortly before six o'clock last evening. Mrs. Roulton was struck by the rear part of the truck, driven by Mr. John James Sutton, of 28, Graham Street, which was proceeding up Hobeon Street into Victoria Street. She was taken to j the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance in a fairly serious condition, 'but her condition this morning, was not 1 serious.
