FLOCK HOUSE.
GOVERNMENT TAKING OVER. NEW CONTROL IN FEBRUARY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, announces that final arrangements have been completed between the Government and the Flock House Trustees for the property and farm-training establishment at Flock House to be taken over by the Department of Agriculture from February 1. Until February the Flock House establishment is to Be carried on under the present control of the trustees of the seamen's fund, and no time- should be lost by the parents of boys leaving school this term and who desire a farming career to enrol their boys as trainees at Flock House. Training and maintenance at Flock House will now be free to all boys who comply with the requirements of medical fitness, personal character and a desire for a farming career. In the meantime the number in training will be limited to 60 boys, so that early application should be made to the Flock House office at Palmerstou North.
