RESCUE AT WHAKATAKE. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WHAKATANE, Friday. Two boats got into difficulties in the heavy sea experienced off the Whakatane Heads .to-day. A party of Maoris went out to Kolii Point searching for sea eggs« and got into a dangerous position among tlie rocks. The party was rescued by the trawler Outlaw. Mr. Olsen was fishing for crayfish in a dinghy, which was swamped by the rough seas and he was rescued in an exhausted condition by the crew of Mr. J. McEwan's launch, which was passing at the time.
