ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED

RUGBY, December 14,

Sunday was the 35th anniversary of the first transatlantic wireless communication. The signals were transmitted from a station at Poidhu in Cornwall, and were intercepted by Senatore Marconi by means of an emergency aerial supported by a kite in place of apparatus destroyed by a storm at Signal Hill, Newfoundland.
