DRUNK IN CHARGE.
HOLIDAY TRANSGRESSION
LABOURER FINED £20,
"Apparently yesterday's holiday led him to transgression," said Mr. Mahony, in the Police Court this morning, when appearing for Patrick Emmett Dromgool, a labourer, aged 30, who admitted that he was in a state of intoxication while in cliai ge of a motor truck in Domain Road, Panmure, yesterday.
Senior-Sergeant Flanagan said Constable J. R. Davies, at 6.10 p.m., found Dromgool sitting at the wheel of the motor truck which was stationary. lJroingool was drunk. No attempt had been made to' drive the vehicle.
Counsel added that Dromgool had never been in trouble before and he had not driven the truck. A hard working married man, he earned his living by woodcutting.
Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., inflicted a line of. £20, which he said could be paid in instalments of £1 weekly. Dromgool's license to drive was cancelled for 12 months.
