REUNION TO-MORROW.
CANTERBURY'S ANNIVERSARY
Former residents of Canterbury axe arranging a celebration of the anniversary of that province to-morrow, when a luncheon gathering will be held at Milne and Choyce's reception hall. The Mayor, Mr. Davis, will attend, as well as other public representatives, including Mr. C. G. Macindoe, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, and the Rev W C. Wood, chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board. In the afternoon a bowling tourney will be held on the Mount Eden green and in the evening a social reunion at the Seddon Memorial Technical College. , „ , Members of the Canterbury and Early Settlers' Association met at Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Stead's home at Ham, Riccarton, on Saturday last, when reminiscences were the order of the day. Two of the survivors of those famous First Four Ships were present—the Rev. F. G. Brittan, who came out on the sir George Seymour, and Mr. Richard Evans, who was a passenger on the oressy. Greetings to these and other surviving nilprims were conveyed by Air. -K* Webb, president of th* Association.
