GOLDEN JUBILEE.

EPSOM DISTRICT SCHOOL.

Reminiscences were the order of the day at the recent celebrations to mark the golden jubilee of the Epsom district school. It was many years since last some of the old pupils had seen each other, and under the stimulus ot meeting each other memories again became clear. The playground was gay with bunting for the occasion, while there were present pupils and representatives of educational bodies. The chairman of the school committee, -Air. X. Speer, outlined the purpose of the celebrations and Mr C R Aliuiro, representing the Auckland Education Board, Mr. K. Prows Broad, the headmaster, and old pupils, spoke. | Oil behalf of the school committee, Mrs. A. McNair made a presentation to Mrs. }. Worrall, whose late husband had been for many years a prominent member of the committee.
