EARLY GERMAN MODEL.

In 1013 the Science Museum, South Kensington, London, S.W., acquired a Benz car made in ISBB, probably the first car of the kind imported into England. The car was run in 1914, since when it has been on exhibition in the museum galleries. ' From time to time interested visitors have expressed a wish to see this ear running, and it has now been overhauled and again put in working order. It is intended to run it for public demonstration in the museum .grounds. The car is a three-wheeler driven by a single-cylinder four-stroke engine having a vertical crankshaft and developing about 2 h.p. A surface carburettor provides the mixture; the ignition is by coil.
