YOUNG PLAYER'S SECOND VICTORY. Chief interest in tlie sub-association match at Morrinsville on Saturday between Wnikato East and Morrinsville centred in tlie appearance on tlie Morrinsville courts of the Misses Nessie ami Margaret Beverley, of Matamata, who will partner each other tliif seanon in the Auckland and Now Zealand championships for the lirst time. They won their doubles easily against tlie Morrinsville top pair. Misn Ness-'ie Beverley, who has been concentrating of late on grass court play, found tlie •Morrinsville liard courts somewhat difficult, ami wut? defeated by 7 —4 in the first ladiew' singles against Miss Ij. Kirk, tlie youthful Morrinsville top lady, who exploited tlie lobbing game to advantage. Mies Kirk beat Miss Beverley last year also on hard courts by 7—5. Waikato East won by 10 rubbers to 0.
