SEAMEN'S MISSION.
In honour of the King's Birthday, a special entertainment was given at the Flying Angel Mission last evening for the men from the British ships in port. I he Rev. H. K. Vickery, who welcomed the visitors to the institute, mentioned that the attendance of seamen to the clubrooms showed that the various activities of the mission were appreciated by the sailor visitors.
The programme consisted of mystery and-magic by Mr. R. H. F. Glace, anil vocal numbers, monologues, national and fancy dancing, and instrumental items by Mrs. J. Maher, Miss Mavis Ward, Miss Irene Tracy, Miss Doris Sinclair, Miss I'a-ttie Gwilliam, itiss Margaret Haines, Mr. Jack Counihiin, and Master Ken Ward. The accompaniments were played by Mr. W. M. Mitchell and Miss Xora Gwilliam. Refreshments were served l>y members of the Ladies' Harbour Lights Guild. The National Anthem and cheers for the King and Queen were heartily given before the seamen returned to their ships.
