ACCEPTED RACE BETS

POLICE RAID AT FEII-DING.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON N., tliis day. As a sequel to a police raid fines totalling £310 were imposed in the Feilding Magistrate's Court on Saturday afternoon, when several persons wef.e charged with accepting bets at tottilisator odds. Fines of £100 each were imposed on Thomas Clarke and Ben McGratli. Noel Hurdle arid Albert Hosken were fined £50 each, and Alice Clarke was fined £10.
