EMBARK THREE MILES AT SEA. United Press Association. —Copyright. (Received 2 p.m.) LOXDO>T, December 13. The tramp of marching feet echoed in the darkness through the streets of Galway last night when SOO volunteers secretly assembled from all parts of Ireland for General O'Duffy's Irish brigade to reinforce General Franco in Spain.
The volunteers passed through the town and embarked in a tender from which they transferred to a liner outside the three-mile limit. The men, wearing religious emblems, then sailed for Spain singing hymns.
Additional large drafts are to follow. Previous detachments totalling 200 departed from Liverpool.
