MISHAP AT ONEHUNGA. MAN RESCUED BY COMPANION. When playing with a clog on the Onehunga wliarf on Saturday afternoon, an i elderly man, Mr. Herbert Hill, of Lower Queen* Street, Onehunga, had a narrow ■ esea]>e from drowning. The dog sprang at him, and in trying to push the animal away, lie overbalanced, and fell over the end of the wharf into the harbour. A companion, Mr. T. Deasly, was close by, however, and threw him a rope by which he was pulled ashore in an exhausted condition. Artificial respiration was applied by Constable Z. Olver, and Mr. Hill quickly recovered.
