OATH OF ALLEGIANCE. EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEMBERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. A special meeting of the Executive Council was held in Parliament Building* this morning. The Governor-General, Viscount Galway, presided, and the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, also attended. The only absentees were the Hon. W. Nash, who is in England, and the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, who is conducting Departmental business in Auckland. The Chief Justice administered the Oath of Allegiance to King George VI. to his Excellency, who then administered the Oath of Allegiance to members of the Executive Cuncil. The Executive Council approved of the form of the Declaration of Proclamation to be read from the steps of Parlia-1 ment Buildings on Monday afternoon.
