RIFLE SHOOTING.

AKARANA CLTJB. DRAFFIN AND WILKINS PREVAIL. A rear fish-tail wind, varying from left to right, prevailed at Penrose rifle range when the members of the Akarana Ritle club fireil their final shoot of the third trophy series for trophies presented by Messrs. J. A. Parry and W. Powell, which were won by J. G. Jones-Parry and D. Stewart in their respective sections. With handicaps adjusted trophy points were awarded to the following members: — Section A: J. R. Draflin 4, J. G. JonesParry 3, K. J. Reston 2, C. Harris 1. Section B: F. Wilkins 4, H. Stewart 3. M. Torblt. Three hundred yards is the range to be fired over next. AUCKLAND CLUB. Championship shooting over the long ranges was continued by the Auckland City Defence Rifle Club last Saturday afternoon under reasonably good conditions. At SOO yards the rear wind showed a tendency to fishtail, while at the longer range sighting was difficult, although the wind was steadier.
