SEASON IN WELLINGTON. FIRST NIGHT'S RESULTS. (By Association.) AVEtLINGTOX, this clay. The opening of the broadsiding season was attended by 5000 people at Kilbirnie Stadium. An attempt by Mrs. Dos-sic Grant on the midget car four-lap record of 93s had to bo abandoned owing to engine trouble. Mossman and Cujlum gave several exhibi- j tion stunts. Handicapping by a number of yards behind scratch was used for the first time. Results:— Plying International Hurricane. —Mossman 1, Wilkinson (Wellington) 2, Moulton 3.
